About Coach Sofi

Coach Sofia Marin is a Certified Sports Nutritionist and seasoned USA Cycling Coach who delivers individualized nutrition programs and cycle coaching designed to elevate clients to the next level, optimizing their health and athletic performance.


With over two decades of experience in the athletics industry, Coach Sofi combines her expertise in exercise physiology and training techniques with evidence-based nutrition principles to help clients reach their highest level of health and performance.

Her comprehensive approach to better nutrition gives clients clear and practical guidelines that are tailored to their unique physiology, lifestyle, athletic focus and ambitions. Rather than count calories, we build a foundation of intentional and optimized eating habits to boost health, energy and performance.

Coach Sofi is an experienced Cat 1 cyclist who has coached riders across disciplines to multiple victories and successes. Her coaching successes include developing riders from Cat 5 to Cat 1, coaching athletes to multiple USA National Championship podiums, and delivering a rider to the 2019 World Championships XC Mountain Bike squad for Team USA.

While Coach Sofi has extensive experience working with elite endurance athletes, she also works with individuals and athletes at all levels.


In addition to her nutrition and coaching work, Coach Sofi is an accomplished CAT 1 cyclist, sport rock climber, and life-time athlete. She has worked closely with a UCI Women’s WorldTour Cycling Team, coached with the USA Cycling Junior Development Program, administered metabolic testing in a lab setting, and served as in-house nutritionist for Osmo Nutrition.

She is particularly passionate about women’s nutrition, having formally studied under the tutelage of Dr. Stacy Sims to help women align nutrition and training to their menstrual cycle in order to maximize health and performance. Coach Sofi also has extensive experience applying plant-based vegan diets, having spent the past 14 years as a highly-successful vegan athlete.


Sofia Marin graduated magna cum laude in the top 4 percent of her class from the University of California San Diego and earned her Sports Nutrition Certification through the International Sport Science Association. Coach Sofi is a nutritionist based out of Berkeley in Northern California’s Bay Area.
